I became interested in genealogy after hearing amazing stories about my family's past from some of my oldest relatives in the family. The great migration west, fights and friendships with settlers and indians, stories about the great depression and on and on. It has been a great experience to discover previously unknown relatives and photos of family members to match the stories passed down in our family. Many ancestors I have found were never known by my own extended family. It is the discovery of new family members that drives my passion for genealogy.
