I just found this page, yesterday from a FB friend. I requested a photo to be taken of my father's grave, as his grave as he requested is over 12 hours form my residence, and none of my family live close by either.

It was so wonderful to be able to visit his grave online, since it is not possible to be there in person, because of the distance. Because of the volunteers, I was able to see his grave, and be assured that the engraving of his death date was added, as I was so emotional in losing my dad, I could not remember if this was taken care of, when I made all the arrangements.

I used to go with family members to cemetaries of relatives graves every Memorial Day, but it is no longer that easy for me to do.

So because of the goodness of others, I can visit relatives graves through this site, and would like to be able to do for others, what has been done for me.

I am a grandmother of 11, and mother of 4, that I raised alone for 17 years. I have already lost many family members, including a grandchild, and do not think it will get any better, as we grow older the more loved ones we lose, and want to be a part of helping others to visit loved ones grave sites online, as time and distance do not always make it possible to visit all your loved one's graves. We can also share it with the loved ones, still with us, as they are so busy with life.
