Data on the memorials that I manage comes from that family genealogy, and many other sources, which I carefully research before adding.

I have also provided information on memorials that I don't manage, and make every effort to determine the accuracy of the source. I know that newspaper articles and obituaries sometimes have errors, but I believe they provide historical context, so I use them on the memorials I manage, and often suggest them to managers of other memorials that I have researched.

I will transfer memorials to family members upon request, pursuant to Find A Grave criteria. I may or may not transfer memorials of my family members, depending on the specific situation.
