I have lived in Independence Missouri most of my life except for a short year when we moved to Sedgwick Kansas when I was 5.

I retired in 2014 after being a cook in a elementary school for 26 years. I miss the children and my co-workers, but I really like being retired.

I became interested in geneaology after I had bought a family history book from a distant relative. My grandparents and their children were the last family entered in the book. No one else in the family was interested in taking the project on, so I took it upon my self to continue with the history of my family.

I have enjoyed it very much, but there are times when I have to take a break for awhile.
