Charlotte County Genealogical Society, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation serving Charlotte County in Southwest Florida since 1976.

Our mission is to assist and educate our members and our community in their quest for genealogical and historical information.

This promises to be another exciting year as we continue to partner with the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library to fulfill our mutual goals of serving the public and providing assistance to those researching their family history.

CCGS offers help sessions and classes on genealogical topics. Watch for details on our website, in the local newspapers and flyers in the library.

The Genealogical Society meets monthly (except for July and August) on the third Wednesday. We offer monthly programs, special interest group gatherings, and the opportunity to meet other genealogists. Meeting time and location are posted on the website on the Home page and the Events page. Members receive our monthly newsletter, the Geneagram, which contains genealogical tips and articles, Society events, and member information.

We invite you to join our Society or attend a meeting as a guest. Please join our free genealogy classes and see if we can help find your elusive ancestors. Visit our website often and tell your friends about our group.
