Union Grove Baptist Church in Lithia Springs, Georgia was founded in 1891. The historic Union Grove Memorial Garden cemetery is located behind the church and has more than 600 graves as of 2011. Only members of the church, and their immediate family, may be buried here. A volunteer committee at the church handles burial arrangements and records of the Memorial Garden. The church web site has a listing of cemetery occupants, as well as a list of Confederate soldiers and veterans (plus one Yankee soldier) who are buried here.
We appreciate the incredible time and effort put forth by Deborah Hollon who created the first list of interments. That original list was written from observations of the cemetery headstones and is a good reference for finding a grave. The other list is alphabetical only.
