I've been doing family genealogy since the age of 21 when I was in a near fatal car accident. After being discharged from the hospital and PT was over I headed to PA for 2 weeks. My paternal grandmother, Celia E. (Roberts) Sperry, wanted me to come visit her in Patton, PA. I remember at a very young age listening to family stories and ancestors. I also remember her reciting poems and songs she had learned as a young child and woman. She had beautiful English gardens for many years. I was unable to drive so it was only natural to start asking more of our family history. Fortunately for me she knew so much history both on her side and my grandpap, David G. Sperry's side also. Since I have continued my research and will always be grateful to her.
