Bio

I have been researching my ancestors on and off for about 3 years -- Stetten, Dermyer, Delano, and Warren on my mother's side and Patton and Work on my father's side.

As one thing leads to another, I was driving around the Dorset and Pawlet, VT, areas at the end of June (2010) with my husband, Stephen MacRae Sykes, and we decided to try to find information on his ancestors who moved there in the late 1700s.

We went back on 01-02JUL and hit a genealogical jackpot at the Dorset Historical Society. They are wonderful people and were instrumental at steering us to the correct resources and cemeteries. As a result, we were able to photograph many Sykes headstones, which I share with you here.

If you have any questions or corrections, please e-mail me with the word "Genealogy" in the subject line. Thanks.
