My name is Paul, a 6th generation descendent of Johann F. Startz and Catherine E. J. Wenzel (Denzer widow). Johann F. Startz (Johannes F. Starz in Germany) was born 1798 in the town of Fachsenfeld, County of Aalen , State of Wurttemberg, Germany (or as proud locals claim it is really the ancient country of Swabia, and they have good reason to be proud of their many inventors). After at least 200+ years; Starz families are still around that same area of southwest Germany. Johann immigrated to The "Republic of Texas" in 1844; was a "First Founder" of New Braunfels, Texas in 1845. Johann and his third wife Catherine had only one son together before they both died, this was Ludwig Carl Startz, my GG grandfather. Ludwig was known by and used Louis Charles Startz. Thankfully, Johann married that one last time, they both lived just long enough to have had one last kid that survived, Johann's older son raised that one last kid, and that allowed me to be here. Paternal family line: Johann F. Startz, Ludwig Carl(Louis Charles) Startz, Emil Lawrence Startz, Clarence Eldon Startz, Lawrence Eldon Startz, and me Paul.
