Bio

I started researching my family genealogy in 2002. When I put in the family members I knew of into Family Tree Maker, I could only come up with about 25-30 names. My tree stands at 4,869 (as of the time I am writing this) and constantly growing.

While my initial venture into genealogy was about curiosity, it has become so much more than that for me now. It has become my passion to preserve the past and the memories of those who have come before us.

My great grandfather, Julius Takacs died in 1943. 60 years later when I tried to find what happened to him, no one living knew. In just 60 years he was already becoming lost to the annals of time. After 7 years of research (and one lucky find...) I found out what happened to him.

I run my own genealogy website now and have decided to add to Find A Grave to help preserve what I can of my family.

My work is dedicated to all those who have come before me.
