I was born Randy East in Lake Charles, LA. In 1966 I was adopted and became Randy Merkel. I spent 26 years in the Air force, 10 years in government aircraft repair and I'm now enjoy ancestry research and transcribing historical records. My roots go back on my mother's side, Harris, Wheeler, Stone and Lee and my father's side East/Istre, Lablanc, Trouve and Cormier.
