I have been interested in genealogy for a little over 5 years. In that time I have traced most of my roots to brick walls. I am adding what I know to global databases in order to facilitate other researchers whose lines may cross mine.

I have already seen some of my research appear on other peoples' genealogy pages. Genealogy allows us to experience history on a personal way that goes beyond memorizing dates and important figures.

We can see whether our families were parts of sociological trends, or the exception apart from the rule.
