I am a retired chemical R&D director, who has conducted genealogical research for several decades.

Great-grandson of Adam Larkin Rickord, who fought with Company F of the Iowa 32nd Voluntary Infantry during the Civil War

G2 grandson of William A. Wallace, who fought in Company I of the Illinois 100th Regiment in the Battle of Chickamauga and Mission Ridge during the Civil War.

G2 grandson of Adam Cavers, who served 21 years in the British Army with the 3rd Light Dragoons, 7th Royal Veteran Battalion, serving with Wellington in the Peninsular War in Portugal, Spain, and Ireland. Twice wounded. Marched as a member of the supporting force to Waterloo reaching the site after the battle.

G4 grandson of Daniel P. Locke, who in Captain Winslow's Company of the New York Militia, fought in the War of 1812 at the Battle of Plattsburg.

G5 grandson of Lt. Abraham Locke who fought in the Revolutionary War in the First Middlesex County Regiment of Massachusetts.

He was a Surveyor General of arms and ammunition for the colony and had the notoriety of having 17 barrels of powder blow up in one of the outbuildings of his house. He was aboard the ship Arbella of the Winthrop Fleet as it left England on April 6, 1630.
