Jame H. Ammons,born Pickens County Al.1939. Great Grandson 5th removed of Joshua Ammons of South Carolina.He was Revolutionary War Hero who served with Lafayette. My Great Grandfather 4 removed was James B Ammons and is buried in the Union Hill Cemetery in Alabama. I am also related to the Ammons' of Macon County Nc. They are the decendants of John Thomas Ammons of SC.who was also a Revolutionary war hero and rode as a calvaryman with Francis Marion, the "Swamp Fox". Many of the NC relatives are buried in the Jennings Cemetery in the Holly Springs Community of Macon County NC.
