I am retired, and do a lot of genealogy research and study local history, concentrating primarily on Civil War era history. I am a member of the Cape Fear Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Lower Cape Fear Historical Society, North Carolina Retired Government Employees Association, North Carolina Social Services Association, Civil War Preservation Trust, SASS/Single Action Shooting Society, just to name a few.
