I was fortunate to become interested in our family history at a time when many older family members buried in Texas were still alive. To have been a member of a caring family that kept in touch and always welcomed each other, gave me the privilege of preserving many of the memories that were shared with me and those I participated in along the way. Most were willing to share things they could remember – provided they first were convinced I didn't think they were "living in the past." I miss all of them and have special memories of each one I knew and those they remembered.
