Born in Alton, Madison County, IL on February 10, 1926. Named James IVAN Poore,the oldest of 5 children of James Dewey and Rita Murphy Poore - Served in the US Navy 1943-1947 with combat in the South Pacific & Served in the US Army 1949-1953 during the Korean conflict - was not in Korea. Celebrated my 59th wedding anniversary on October 23, 2007.
Have lived in New Mexico since late 1949. Love woodworking, gardening, playing the Hammond B-3 organ and genealogy.
