Bio

I've been researching both my husband's and my families since 1996. As a result I've been in many cemeteries in York County, PA (Wallace, Hibner families), Central Counties of PA (Steele, Barr, Magill, Snook, Goss) and Schoharie County, NY (Palmer, Moot, Terpenning, Fox families)and other misc. places.

I've always been fascinated by cemeteries and find it a fun and rewarding method of research. I can't wait until I'm old enough to retire (librarian in Tampa, FL) and have more time to travel and research more family cemeteries. Update: retired 5/31/14 :>)

Most of the people I listed that are buried in PA or NY are related to either me or my husband. A few are not but happened to be in the same cemetery. If the cemetery was small I would record everyone - as further research might prove that they also were related. Anyhow, I welcome corrections and additional information and am willing to share my own research including sources. As a librarian, sources are important.

As a member of the Florida Genealogical Society (FGS), I input some records for Woodlawn Cemetery from the book "Hillsborough County, Florida Cemeteries 1840-1985, Volume 8" compiled by FGS in 1990. The information was supplemented by a Tampa city government website which is no longer valid and personal visits while I still lived in Tampa.
