Bio

My name is William Tanneberger. I was born in Floresville, Wilson Co., Texas. At that time my family lived in the nearby farming/ranching community of Fairview. I served six years in the United States Navy as Guided Missile Weapons Fire Control Technician. After my military service, I entered the University Of South Carolina to pursue my studies in Electrical Engineering. Over the years, I have worked as a Project Engineer, Equipment Design Engineer, Calibration Lab Manager, Site Instrument Officer and finally as a Senior Engineer and Departmental Section Leader of Compliance Engineering for Ethicon / Div of Johnson & Johnson Medical Products. I entered retirement at the end of 2003. I now enjoy outdoor / wildlife photography

Findagrave has been very helpful in my family research and has provided information that I normally would not have had access to. I am also glad that I have been able to make contributions to this site.

The family names that I am researching are my father's line of Tanneberger, Keister, Adkisson, Chisum, Harrison, and Propst (as well as their spelling variations)and also my mother's Irish line of Patterson, McGrath, Burrows, Allen, Cowan, Gordon and Thompson. My mother, Mary Burrows Patterson, was a WWII war bride from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
