Born and raised within three miles of Liberty Hill. I am kin in some fashion to 75 percent, or more, of the people buried here. My Kin and ancestors are: Bain, Harris, Little, Wilson, Harville, Newcomb, Roach, Kennedy, Kilcrease, McAnally and probably some that I am not aware of.
After graduation from the old Glendale High School of Glen, Mississippi, I was on active duty with the United States Air Force for the next 29 years. Although I am retired in Texas I still maintain my membership in the Grand Old Church where I was saved in 1945. Liberty Hill was the church, the Pastor was Brother Leamon Wilbanks and along with six others I was baptized in Bain Creek, named after my Grandfather that meanders through the black, rich bottomland a mile from the church.
UPDATE: As of the first day of January 2012, I am still alive and well at age 79 and still live in Guadalupe County, Texas. I'm amazed at the number of additions by kind people since I entered the first names for Liberty Hill Cemetery in 2005.
