I was born 14 Mar 1943 in Nobility, Fannin Co. TX to Robert Andrew Cowan and Lena Rivers Wheeler Cowan. I am the 13th child of a family of 15.
My parents raised 13 of us, 2 boys and 11 girls. They lost a son and daughter in infancy.
My brothers were:
