Bio

I've been doing genealogy for about 50 years, long before computers. When everything was handwritten, stored in files & large binders. I became "hooked" as a project in high school [early 1970's] & this has been my passion ever since. My mother [Peggy McDonald Boston Johnson 1935-1994] & I traveled, collected & photographed all of our early family tree info. When I began my research, I wasn't as "wise" as I am now [in my 60's]. Some of my earliest information did not list the specific source... such as Title of books & where they are located. I'd recommend all new genealogists to remember how important sources are. Years down the road... lots of people will say that some info is incorrect [& some is :)], but the great thing is to be able to go back & "prove" your source & work.
Also, I love having ANY pictures of my families , even if it's only their grave markers. I am truly thankful for those of you who go to all of the trouble to photograph & share photos with others. You are so appreciated!!
