In Memoriam Mrs. Sarah Catherine Hall: Died at age of 87 years. Was one of eight children of Elijah Arnold and Prudence Jackson Arnold, was born in Fauquier County, VA, May 1, 1824. Of this large family, her four brothers, George Jackson Arnold, William E. Arnold, Porter Arnold and John G. Arnold, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hall, preceded her in death. Two sisters, Mrs. John S. Fisher of Buckhannon and Mrs. Henry Brannon of Weston survives. Mrs. Hall was married at Jacksonville, this county, on May 23, 1849 to Charles S. Hall. They lived in Philippi until his death in 1857, when she returned to Weston and lived until her death on June 29th. Of two children, only one survives, Miss Ella Hall. William D. Hall, the only son, died many years ago.
