LeROY - Helen M. Schade-Ripley, 84, of LeRoy, formerly of Hoopeston died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday (April 28, 2002) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Cemetery, Elliott. There will be no visitation. Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to American Breast Cancer Foundation.
She was born Oct. 7, 1917, at Drummer Township, a daughter of Andrew and Maria Kofoid. She married Charles A. Schade on Dec. 22, 1936, at Chatsworth. He died Oct. 16, 1984. She later married Charles F. Ripley on Sept. 20, 1990, at Baraboo, Wis. He died Jan. 8, 2002.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra (Keith) Miller, Chatsworth; two sons, C. Roger (Ann) Schade and Steven (Carol) Schade, both of Cullom; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
One brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ripley enjoyed the company of her dog, Mitch.
