Robert Malone Lusk built the Lusk Chapel Methodist Church near Dawson, AL. It was a small frame building with a stone fireplace and chimney on a plot of his own land he deeded to the Tennessee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, in the 1850's. It was for Robert M. Lusk that the church was named. He and his wife were among seven to ten charter members.
