While in King City he was employed by the Standard Oil Company and El Camino Garage. He left here about three years ago to take a position with the oil company at Gonzales. While in King City he made scores of friends who were shocked to hear of his early death.
Funeral services were held in Salinas yesterday with mass being said in St. Theodore' Catholic church in Gonzales at 10 o'clock.
Surviving him are his wife, Leora, his father Eugene Tavernetti of Gonzales, as well as a large number of relatives throughout the county.
Following the funeral service, interment was made in the Gonzales Catholic cemetery.
