MEEK, William L. - Age 54, of Mesick, MI, formerly of Belleveue and Flint, died Sunday, August 1, 1999 at Battle Creek Veterans Medical Center. A Memorial gathering will be held the weekend of August 14th at the daughter's home in Mesick, MI. Memorials may be directed to the daughter. Mr. Meek was born May 10, 1945 in Flint, MI, the son of Dwight and Florence (Edwards) Meek. He received his GED while living in South Carolina. He served in the U.S. Marine during the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post in Battle Creek. William married Patricia Lynn Pufpaff, who preceded him in death in 1998. Preceded in Death by mom and dad Meek, Russell Treloar of Depew Surviving are: daughter, Barbara A. Smith of Mesick, MI; step-daughter, Amanda Pufpaff of Battle Creek; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Donna Hudson of Swartz Creek, Bonnie Sue Vollmar of Flint; brother, Charles Meek of Swartz Creek.
