BAY CITY - Mary Lounett Ellis Medlin, 76, of Bay City, passed away Jan. 4, 2008. She was born March 31, 1931, in Bay City, to Mamie Henderson Ellis and the late Ernest Ellis. She was an apartment manager and member of the Point Comfort Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Anderle and her husband Calvin of Port Lavaca; son, Walter Medlin Jr. and his wife Betty of Point Comfort; mother, Mamie Ellis of Bay City; sisters, Betty Yarborough of Vanderbilt, Ida Curnett of Livingston, and Kathy Anderle of Point Comfort; brother, Jack Ellis of Bay City; grandchildren, Michelle Teague and Ronny Best of Port Lavaca, and Jonathan and Sue Beth Medlin of Point Comfort; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Medlin Sr.; father; and sister, Nora Janak.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008 in Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held from 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008 in the funeral home chapel, Deacon Tommy Chen officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Medlin, Ronny Best, Pat Anderle, Edwin Anderle, John Tweedel, and Ricky Janak.
Honorary pallbearers are the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Randy Teague and Jack Ellis.
