Mr. Tschirky was the son of the late Oscar Tschirky known as "Oscar of the Waldorf," who for 50 years served as maitre d'hotel of both the old and the new Waldorf-Astoria hotels and who died two years ago.
Mr. Tschirky had owned and operated a large dairy farm near New Paltz for many years. He is survived by a brother Leopold Tschirky and a nephew, Robert of Rosemont, Pa. and a niece, Mrs. E. Harding Pelham of Santa Barbara, Calif.
Funeral services were conducted at the Pine Funeral home, New Paltz at 2 o'clock Saturday. The Rev. Barrett Tyler of Rhinebeck, retired minister, officiated.
