Rhoda was the daughter of Col. Frederick Saxton and Rhoda Messenger. She married Billy "Bela" Blinn of the Blinns of Wethersfield Connecticut. Billy was an American Revolution patriot and a veteran of the War of 1812.
Their son Mortimer, migrated to California where he married Amanda Morhouse. They lived in the Salinas Valley of Monterey Co. CA and also San Luis Obispo. Mortimer is buried in the Gonzales Cemetery in the Salinas Valley, Monterey Co. CA. Amanda is buried in the oldest part of the San Luis Obispo Cemetery, in San Luis Obispo, SLO co. CA.
Their daughter Florence Blinn married my great grandfather;, Jacob Startzman Parsons
