Graveside services for Ruth Aplin, 98, formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Luna officiating under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Aplin passed away on Oct. 27, 2012, in Dallas.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1914, in Jacksonville. She was a longtime teacher in the Chapel Hill Independent School District.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dan Aplin; and son-in-law, Jim Pool.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Pool; grandsons, Greg Pool and wife Jennifer and Jason Pool and wife Janette; and four great-grandchildren.
