Eternal rest, grace and peace to 4th great-grandmother Anna (Taylor) Wilkinson (born 1756, died 1847).
Anna Taylor married Ichabod Wilkinson in 1775 in New Milford, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Years later, the family moved to what is now Cayuga County, New York. By 1810, the family of Ichabod and Anna moved to Erie County, Pennsylvania. Subsequently, some of the family moved further west to Ohio.
In 1846, as a resident of Greenfield Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania, Anna applied for a widow's pension based upon her husband Ichabod's military service in the American Revolution.
Anna passed away in 1847. Interestingly, her first name is shown as "Anne" on her gravestone in Grahamville Cemetery, although her name appears as "Anna" in all New Milford records and in her pension file.
