ALEXANDER DALLAS RITES TO BE HELD HERE TOMORROW

Funeral services for Alexander Dallas, 90, former resident of this city who died Monday at Baltimore, Maryland, at the home of his daughters, Miss Rachel Dallas and Mrs. Amy Ellen Hoadley, will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Osborne-Tomlinson funeral home here.

Mr. Dallas had been enjoying exceptionally good health until two weeks before his death when he suffered a severe heart attack. He was born on March 16, 1845 at Allegheny, Pennsylvania. When 17 years of age he came west with his parents in a covered wagon, and the family settled on a farm near Atalissa, Iowa. Mr. Dallas was united in marriage there to Miss Elma Wilkinson. They came to Cass county in 1881 and resided on a farm in Victoria township until 1893 when they retired and located in Atlantic, having many years at 400 Pine street.

Mrs. Dallas died here about 20 years ago and in 1931 Mr. Dallas went to Baltimore to make his home with his daughters.

He is survived by six children, James A. Dallas of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Esme Bradbury of Dexter, Michigan, Mrs. Georgia Larson and Mrs. Dorothy Kirk of Iowa City, and Mrs. Hoadley and Miss Dallas of Baltimore, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dallas was widely known over this territory many years as a breeder of fine horses.
