Gilbert - Funeral services for N.W. Hancock, Jr., 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Kersey will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Hancock passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2007. Born in Lexington County, April 24, 1927, he was the son of the late N.W. Sr. and Laura Ann Morgan Hancock. He was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. Mr. Hancock served in the U.S. Army during WW II and retired from Columbia Mills. Mr. Hancock is survived by his wife, Grace Hancock; daughter, Gwendolyn Hancock Rish of Columbia; grandsons, Frankie Rish, Adam Rish and Andy Rish, all of Gilbert; 4 stepgrandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters,Rosetta Leaphart of Gilbert and Mary Hall of Columbia.
