MRS. DOROTHY McDONALD GASTON, S.C. - Mrs. Dorothy Inez Miller McDonald, 52, wife of James F. McDonald, died in Camden Sunday night after a brief illness. She was born at Salley, a daughter of Mrs. Aletha Gunter Miller and the late John Miller. She had lived at Gaston for the last two years and prior to that had made her home in Camden. She was a member of the Rocky Grove Baptist Church near Salley. She is survived by the widower, James F. McDonald of Camden; two daughters, Mrs. Mickey Finn of New Jersey and Miss Rhonda McDonald of Gaston; seven sons, Curtis Skipper, Bennie Skipper and Billy Skipper, all of Swansea, Donnie Skipper of Gaston, Macklyn Skipper of Charleston, and Joseph McDonald and Jason McDonald, both of Camden; two step-sons, Johnny McDonald and Jimmie McDonald, both of Camden; and eight grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Rocky Grove Baptist Church near Salley, conducted by the Rev. Don Corley. Interment will follow in the church yard. Active pallbearers will be Thomas Gunter, Millege Hartley, Colie Hutto, Henry Hutto, M.H. Dykes and Harvey Goodwin. The body will be at the home of Billy Skipper at Swansea Tuesday afternoon and will remain there until the time of the service.
