Hardy Mott Dean

I have learned some interesting facts about Gramma Lucy. I learned that she was always busy with sewing, crocheting, knitting or some type of hand work even when she was confined to bed.

My father, George Waldrip told me an interesting story about his Gramma, I didn't ask him which one, but I believe it was Gramma Lucy. When he was a boy he needed a saddle blanket for his horse. She helped him cut "rags" into strips and sew them together. Then she taught him to make a single crochet to make a blanket from the strips.

My name is Lynn Waldrip Paul. I am the great grand daughter of Lucy Langston, grand daughter of Georgia Waldrip and daughter of George Waldrip.

If anyone has any more info or a picture of Lucy, please share it with us.
