Mr. Creel was born in Florence Co., a son of the late Gurley Washington Creel and Annie Lee Hayes Creel Lee. He was a retired farmer and loved to fish.
He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his loving wife, Edna Marie Poston Creel; 2 brothers, Mayo Creel and M.H. Creel; and 2 sisters, Betty Watford and Patricia Creel.
Surviving are a brother, Marion (Sonja) Creel of Dillon; 4 sisters, Jeanette Kelley of Johnsonville, Kathleen Driggers of Florence, Annette Driggers and Mary Strickland both of Irmo, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Prosser Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the services.
The family would like to thank all his care givers during his illness for their special care.
