Vernon Miller, 77, Sparta, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1993, in his home. He was born March 5, 1916, at Valliant, Okla. On May 4, 1942, he was united in marriage to Mildred A. "Pat" Sheets.
Mr. Miller retired from the U.S. Army in 1959 and has lived in this area since that time. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Pat; a daughter, Frances Raybould, state of Virginia; a son, Bernie Miller, state of Washington; a grandchild, Robin Raybould; and two brothers, Edgar and Waldo Miller, both of the state of Oklahoma. Graveside services with military honors provided by Fort Leonard Wood will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Springfield National Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
