Marjorie Baylor Cox, 81, of Lexington died Thursday. She was born on October 3, 1931 to Charles Baylor, Sr. and Bessie (Thompson) Baylor in the Leo Community (Lexington) of Lee County, Texas. She married L. C. Cox, Sr. in November of 1950. She was retired as a home healthcare provider.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Baylor, Sr.; mother, Bessie Baylor; husband, L.C. Cox, Sr.; step-daughter, Irene Cox-Johnson; sister, Erma Lee Flournoy; brothers, Ernest Baylor, Grady Baylor and Charles Baylor, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Doris Mack of Dallas; sons L.C. Cox, Jr. of Elgin and Demorris Cox (Gracy) of Houston; one sister, Gladys Baylor of Odessa, Texas; one brother, Bennie Baylor of Ft. Worth; and a host of grandchildren.

A funeral service for will be held at the First Baptist Church in Lexington, with the Reverends Ernest Carl Baylor and David Jackson presiding. Burial will follow in the Leo Community Cemetery in Lexington. She died on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the St. Joseph Health Center in Bryan, Texas.

Visitation 2 p.m. Tuesday, Lang Memorial Funeral Home, Giddings. Services noon Wednesday, First Baptist Church, Lexington. Burial Leo Community Cemetery, Lexington.
