WITH LOVING HANDS THE REMAINS OF THE LATE SUSIE B. WATSON
WERE PLACED IN BEAUTIFUL LAKESIDE CEMETERY.

As the evening sun sank slowly to rest last Wednesday, all that is mortal of the late Susie B. WATSON was consigned to its final resting place in Lakeside cemetery.

OBITUARY.

Susie Beatrice ROGERS, daughter of Asel and Mercy ROGERS, was born at Colon, Michigan, March 22, 1869; was married to William WATSON, February 13, 1889, and took her departure from her home in Jackson, Michigan, to her house not made with hands, April 26, 1909.

Thus briefly may be sketched the outlines of a life full of love and benefitence. One son, Donald, now 15 years of age, came to bless their home. Mrs. WATSON was converted to the Christian faith at an early age.

It is needless to tell of the many noble qualities of our departed daughter, wife, mother and friend. Her devotion to those who were nearest and dearest to her was unlimited. During the later end of her sickness this devotion and thoughtfulness was most beautiful to witness and sometimes was truly pathetic. She received every attention that loving hands and medical assistance could give.

During her long illness she bore up bravely and in her last moments she determined not to leave her dear ones. But He who knoweth best gently bore her to her eternal home. Thus she passed from years of pain into the glory of a cloudless morn.

OVER THE BAR.
She launched her light boat on the tide at eve
And crossed over the harbor bar:
And up through the deepening shade came a wind
And bore it to sea afar.

And her boat it will never come back to me;
For the bar was the Bar of Death,
And the sea was the Sea of Eternal Years,
And the wind was the Spirit's breath.

But somewhere, I know, on the unseen wave,
Lies the beautiful Isle of the Blest,
Where the storn-fretted voyager anchors his bark,

And there I shall see her, amid the bright bowers
Of that beautiful Island afar,
When I, too, have launched my light boat on the tide
And crossed over the harbor bar.

CARD OF THANKS.
To all those who were so kind and helpful during the sad past week, we wish to express our deepest, heartfelt thanks: especially to Miss Castle, Mrs. Madge Morton and Miss Anderson, for the music; to the I.O.O.F. lodge and Daughters of Rebecca; to the Ladies' Union of the M. E. church; to the Ladies' Pleasure Club, for their kindness. - and, to all our friends who remembered us with such beautiful flowers and assisted us in any way, we wish to extend our thanks.
