Obituary -"JOSEPH BOLEY IS TAKEN BY DEATH" - "Well Known Arcadia Resident Succumbs to Hardening of the Arteries After an Illness of Eleven Weeks" - April 20, 1928 - Joseph Boley, of Arcadia, died at his home at 2:45 o'clock this morning. Death was caused by the hardening of the arteries, from which he had been suffering for the past 11 weeks. The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boley, born in Alvada on March 31, 1854. He was married to Belle Teal in 1903. Surviving him are one son, Newton of Arcadia, a brother, Frank of Hillsboro, Oregon, a step-daughter, Mrs. J.X. Smith, Akron, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, One son preceded him in death. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at which place services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Bowers officiating. interment will be in the Arcadia Cemetery. The body was prepared for burial by Mann Brothers Funeral home and will be taken to the home in Arcadia this evening.

Boley Rites are Held - Services for Arcadia Man, 74, are conducted from village church Sunday- Funeral Services for Joseph Boley, 74, who died Friday at his home in Arcadia, was held yesterday afternoon from the Arcadia Lutheran Church, with Rev. Joseph Sheppard, the pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the village cemetery. Mr. Boley, a lifelong resident of Hancock County, had been seriously sick for 12 weeks. Surviving is his wife and several children. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
