Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Bateman, 57, of Gig Harbor, WA., died peacefully at the family home on Sunday, November 4, 2007.
Jackie was born in Pasco, WA. on May 1, 1950, to Conrad and Rose (Fallgren) Bateman.
She graduated from Kennewick High School in 1968, and graduated with honors in 1972 from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash., with a double major in education and social work.
Jackie had a long career in human resources management, starting in Richland, WA,with the Washington Public Power Supply System. After several years in Spokane, she moved again to the Puget Sound region, where she held positions at Nalley's and Metagenics. She had lived in the South Puget Sound region for the last 25 years.
Jackie is survived by her son, Christopher Michael Bateman of the family home, with whom she shared a special bond. Also surviving her are her father, Conrad and sisters, Connie Morby (Chuck) and Kathy Bateman, all of Kennewick, WA, Diane Bateman (Rudy Cortez) of Bellingham, WA; and numerous nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Services will be held at Peninsula Lutheran Church in Gig Harbor on Wednesday, Nov.14, at 1 p.m.
A service will be held at a later date in Kennewick.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
