He was born May 31, 1910 in Emma Township, the son of James E. and Sarah Vanway York. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Madge Curtis of Farmington Hills Mich.
Interment will be in Big Prairie Cemetery.
