Mr. Avery was a member of the American Legion Post #676 and Mt Carmel Methodist Church, where his family has attended for five generations. He was a talented woodworker and used his skills to create beauty in several homes and churches. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and making new friends along the way, cooking outdoor barbeque, fishing and volunteering his services to help others. He was proud of his family and treasured his many friendships.
Mr. Avery died at the Ozark Methodist Manor, Marionville, Missouri after a long battle with Cancer. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, two children, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
