Civil War Veteran. Enlisted on August 6, 1862, and mustered on September 19, 1862, into Company E, 13th Regiment, New Hampshire Infantry (Union). Enlistment Rank: Private; appointed Corporal on February 13, 1863. Wounded in Action on June 1, 1864, at the Battle of Cold Harbor, Virginia; and on April 3, 1865, during the Occupation of Richmond. Discharged for disability on June 29, 1865, at York, Pennsylvania. Filed for Invalid Pension on June 25, 1866 (Application No. 110.588 and Certificate No. 84, 030).
Exeter NH, Feb. 16. This afternoon Job C. Allard, an industrious and respected citizen of this town, was instantly killed by falling with the timbers of the roof of an old church building on Centre street in the town, which he was engaged in renovating. He fell from the roof to the cellar, striking his head upon a rock. Deceased was a painter by trade, about forty years of age, and leaves a wife and two children, one an infant.
After his death, his widow Abby married Moses Page in 1878.
