Aaron C. Salyer, Age 86, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 5,2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Aaron C. was born December 4, 1924 in Magoffin County, the son of the late Wiley and Nanie Salyer.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Howard Salyer; four sons, Jerry C.(Sue) Salyer, Larry M.(Wanda) Salyer, both of Royalton, KY, Gary (Rita) Salyer of Salyersville, KY and Terry Lee (Melody) Salyer of Livingston, KY; two daughters, Joy Elaine (James) Holbrook of Jackson, KY and Vonda Gail (David) Stoll of Cleves, OH., fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and two unborn great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, one brother, Edgar Salyer and six sisters, Pearl Arnett, Ida Jackson, Irene Arnett, Julia Wireman, Grace Arnett and Ruby Salyer preceded Aaron in death.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1 P.M. from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Lindsey Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the Salyer Family Cemetery at Oakley, Kentucky.
