William Boarman was the oldest child of Thomas and Nancy (Mattingly) Boarman.

His sister Catherine (Boarman) Gabhart, born Nov. 10, 1846, died Jan. 10, 1919 in St. Mary Marion County, Kentucky of tuberculosis, according to her physician, Dr. T. F. Cleaver, of Lebanon, Kentucky. William M. Buckman, Lebanon, Kentucky, was the informant for her death certificate #3244. Bosley & Smith, of Lebanon, Kentucky were the undertakers in charge of the arrangements for her burial in Vincennes, Knox County, Kentucky.

William Boarman married first to Harriett Hendricks of Illinois. Harriett was baptized into the Catholic Church on Oct. 15, 1875 at the age of 45.

William and Harriett were the parents of: Mary Jane (Boarman) Martin Nally Whitfield, 1852-19xx; Thomas Henry Boarman, 1854=1934; Walter B. Boarman, 1866-1935; William Madison Boarman, 1867-1934; Elizabeth (Boarman) Allen, 1869-1940; Edward A. Boarman, 1874-1926; Louis Boarman died young; Frankie Boarman, died young; and Mary Joan Boarman, 1878-xxxx.

William Boarman married secondly to Nancy F. Allen in 1889. Willam and Nancy F (Allen) Boarman were the parents of: Robert Boarman, 1891-1949; Charles oarman, 1892-19xx; Katie (Boarman) Gribbin, 1895-19xx; and Annie (Boarman) Bray, 1903-19xx.

THE LEBANON ENTERPRISE, FRIDAY, AUGUST 10, 1910--OLD CITIZEN DIES--Mr. William Boarman died at his home below New Market Tuesday of the infirmities of old age, he having reached the age of 75 years. The remains were laid to rest at St, Matthews cemetery Wednesday afternoon, Deceased is survived by a wife and several children and a brother, Mr. John Boarman, of this place, He was an honorable and highly esteemed citizen and his death is regretted by a host of friends.

William Bowman's death entry in St. Joseph Death Register #I, page 111 says he died April 11, 1910 at the age of 80 and that the Rev. Father B. J. Wight, his pastor, presided at his funeral at St. Matthew's Cemetery. William Boarman, 1835-1910, has no tombstone in this cemetery.

William Boarman left a Wlll written Sep. 30, 1907 and probate Sep. 9, 1910, which is recorded in Will Book #1 in the Marion County Clerk's Office in Lebanon Kentucky. It reads:

I, William Boarman, of Marion County, Kentucky, do hereby make this my lst will and testament, in manner and form following:

1st: I desire after my death my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.

2nd: I desire, after my debts and funeral expenses, Igive my wife, Nancy F. Boarman all the household and kitchen furniture to use and do with as she pleases.

3rd" I desire that my wife, Nancy F, Boarman shall have the control and use of the farm and all the personal property as she lives, or remains a widow, and at her death all the property both real and personal and get one third of the proceeds of the sale and remaining to thirds be equally divided among my children, namely: Mary J. Whitfield, Thomas H. Boarman; Elizabeth Allen; Walter Boarman; William M. Boarman; Edward A. Boarman; Robert Noarman, Charlie Boarman; Katie Boarman; (and) Annie Boarman. Lastly, I hereby revoke all other former wills or testaments by me heretofore made.

Witnesses: S. S. Cooper, and R. A. Buckman.
