GIBSON CITY (PNS)—
George Pretzlaff, 78, a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Sibley-Gibson City area, died at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday at Gibson Community Hospital.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at American Lutheran Church, the Rev. Karl Kessler officiating. Burial will be in Gibson City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Lamb Funeral Home.

He was born June 21, 1900, at Sibley, a son of Gustav and Ernstina Witt Pretzlaff. He married Ida Brethorst Feb. 18, 1925, at Anchor. She survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Phyllis Leonard, Gibson City; Norene Kirkpatrick, LeRoy; Barbara Marshall, Danvers; and Judith Marshall, Champaign; two sisters, Caroline Stevenson, Fenton, Mich., and Laura Holsten, Fairmount, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pretzlaff was employed for nine years by the Gibson City schools. He was a member of Ford County Farm Bureau and American Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to the church building fund.
