Margaret Leona Fincham, the 7th child of William and Mary Ann Cobb Fincham, was born near Irving, KS on Jan. 27, 1977. She departed this life at Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, KS on Nov. 1, 1966, having reached the age of 89 years, 9 months, and 5 days.
Her early life was spent in the Elm Creek community northeast of Blue Rapids, KS. In 1905 she was united in marriage to Grant Ewing and to this union were born 3 children; Leonard, Gloria, and Clair. She spent her entire life in Blue Rapids and Waterville area and was a member of the Blue Rapids Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ewing was preceded in death by her husband and one step-son, Levi Ewing.
Survivors were her children, Leonard Ewing of Liberty, MO, Mrs. Gloyd Zook of Wymore, Nebr., and Clair Ewing of Patrick Air Force Base in Florida; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lena Uphoff of Wichita Falls, TX and one sister Mrs. James Shaw of Waterville, KS. and 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 4, 1966 in the Blue Rapids Methodist Church. Burial in Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Blue Rapids, KS.
