For a time he lived in Ohio and managed a golf course there.

OBIT:

Owen Lyons, 66, died at 4:45 p.m. yesterday at the Monongalia General Hospital. A stroke was the cause of death.

He was the son of Mrs. Sadie R. Sapp Lyons and the late Joseph B. Lyons of Gladesville. A resident of Akron, OH, for the past 15 years, he was employed by the B.F. Goodrich Co. and retired one year ago.

Surviving besides his mother are one son, Richard Lyons of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Vivian Wadsworth of Charleston, Mrs. Mona Roby of Morgantown and Phyllis and Josephine Lyons at home; four brothers, Ross of Arthurdale, Clint of Lorain, OH, and Logan and Joseph Lyons of Morgantown.

Burial was in the Gladesville Cemetery with the Rev. Benton Roy Hann officiating. (Died Oct. 4, 1954).

Owen and Carrie (Hart) Lyons divorced. They were the parents of two sons:

Joseph Edward Lyons #129596329 (Born Nov 14, 1918 died April 18, 1953) who married Marjorie (Young).
Joseph was killed in an industrial accident at the Mathieson Chemical Company in Morgantown, WV - Death Cert Dist No 310 Serial No 124.

and

Richard Owen "BUD" Lyons #56149305 (Born Oct 3, 1920 Died Oct 18, 2007) who married Madeline Paugh in August 1944 in MD. Madeline was the daughter of Riley and Bertha L Paugh. Her dates April 16, 1923 - July 7, 2007. Richard and Madeline had two sons: Richard Edward Lyons who married Virginia (Bond) and had three children and Douglas Michael Lyons who married Susan E (Rose) and had at least one son.
